Bowring Park Cafe Up for Grabs
The lease for the cafe at Bowring Park in Wellington has come up for tender.
The building is owned by Wellington Town Council, and the opportunity has arisen to take over and run the cafe in the busy park for the summer. The Mayor of Wellington, Cllr Phillip Morris-Jones, himself a retired businessman has made a plea for people to get in touch quickly so the facility can be open for Easter. ‘Get your applications in to the Town Clerk Wellington Town Council as soon as possible.’ and also offered a tip, suggesting that the the Council are looking for various conditions and these may be more important than just the highest bidder.
Bowring Park boast a children’s playground, bowling green, cricket pitch, and free tennis courts as well as large open grassed play area. The park has a number of events including a carnival and Lions Day on Wheels during the summer.
