Charity Shops under attack
2019 saw a number of charity shops broken into across the town. From Oakengates to Shifnal, to Wellington these stores, set up to help those in need, ransacked for a bit of pocket change in donation tins.
The latest shop to fall victim is the Oxfam charity shop in Wellington, not only losing out on anything taken, but shouldering the cost of damage caused or at least the insurance excess.
Why is it that the thieves are targeting these shops? What can be done?

Find the bastards and cut their damn hands off. Surely with the amount of CCTV Around Telford they should be able to find the scum
We were broken into a few months ago (BHF) We have excellent cctv and had clear pictures but their faces were completely covered & no fingerprints. £3,000 of damage just to steal £140 cash…they took the whole safe! Was heartbreaking to walk in in the morning to see things trashed. What unsettles me is that these very same 2 men could be customers in the shop & we wouldn’t even know. Scum of the earth & about time the police got some leads.
I cant understand it – cant be much cash on the premises it seems a dumb crime to me – not to mention vile and insensitive

Why the laughing symbols
It’s awful the air ambulance was targeted not long ago and all they got was some foreign currency but caused so much damage its disgusting
Cut the bastards hands of that steal.
Boot camps need to be brought back. or sent out to work in these areas that the charitys support but as they have no feelings except for themselves I dont suppose a thing would touch them. How low can these people go. I just hope one day there miss deeds come back to bite them.
