Lions Club tree collection to raise cash for charity

Wondering how to get your six-foot tree down to the recycling centre this year? Seemed like a good idea at the time, but the thought of hacking it to bits and lugging it to be recycled filling you with dread?

Telford Lions Club will step into the breach and take it off your hands. Register your tree and a volunteer will collect your tree for recycling in return for a donation that will be going to the Severn Hospice.

Volunteer Kevin Hopley told Telford Live! "It's a new project this year, collecting and recycling real Christmas trees with donations going to Severn Hospice and Lions charities."
