Floods on A442

Floods expected to peak this afternoon

Telford & Wrekin Council extended the flood defence barriers on the Wharfage last as people helped to secure stock at Ironbridge Arts & Antiques Centre.

Currently, the following roads in the Gorge are closed:
Dale Rd, Wharfage, The Lloyds, Lloyd's Head.

Over 20 vehicles were moved from the Wharfage and Dale End to the Park & Ride at the top of Jiggers Bank. If you parked down there and wonder where your car is, there is your answer!

The road to Bridgnorth (A442) is flooded in places and just about passable at the moment, but with the peak expected this afternoon, consider your return journey.
