Have you seen Tom?
A male Harris Hawk called Tom slipped the keepers glove while being boxed on Sunday Morning.
He’s wearing his jesses, swivel and an orange leash. He has been spotted in the Shifnal area – reward for safe return or information leading to his retrieval.

I saw a Harris Hawk fly across the A5223 Lawley Drive just south of J6 M54 about 6pm on Thursday, 24thy. It flew from the open field side and disappeared over the trees on the other side of the road toward the Ercall. I did not see jesses on the bird but I was driving at the time.
I did see one sitting on the roadside fence in almost the same position 3/4 years ago but have not seen one there since, though often driving along that road. This may be a coincidence but small chance it could be the same bird – however, if it is, I would have expected someone else to have seen it since I saw it.
I am an experienced birder and familiar with these hawks so I have no doubt what it
is. You can ring me on 01952-405458 if you ant to discuss.
