Back to the 1940s in Ironbridge this weekend

Action stations in Dale End Park on Saturday and Sunday as World War II Weekend returns to Telford once again.

This event, one of the most important in the WWII Living History community, will feature period vehicles, stalls, displays of genuine and replica weaponry and relics from an age that will be very familiar to those of you living in Broseley.

In the skies on each day – weather permitting – the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight will fly past the event. The inimitable sound of the Spitfire and Lancaster bomber and Hurricane echoing through the Gorge.

It’s free to enter and walk round, but please be aware of the parking situation. Car parks are expected to be very busy and a dedicated Park & Ride will be operating from Jiggers Bank.

The price to use the car park will be £8 in advance per vehicle and £10 on the day. There is a special two day price of £14. Tix: https://www.ironbridgeww2weekend.co.uk/events-ironbridge…
