McDonalds is back!

Following an extended closure, McDonalds at Wrekin Retail Park is now back open for business, but why did it close?

Wrekin Retail Park sitting just off the M54 at Junction 6 is one of the busiest retail parks in town, featuring a KFC, a Costa, and a McDonalds restaurant along with a number of other cafes, supermarkets and retail stores.

This McDonalds, one of five in Telford, has been shut twice this year so far. The first time was in January which was down to pest control issues according to local media reports.

The second time was just last month, where a note appeared in the window stating that the shop was closed for due to ‘unforeseen circumstance’.

The popular fast food outlet, where the queues for the drive thru can block the road onto the retail park was a little quieter than usual, with just a handful of cars using the lane.

Diners inside seemed to be enjoying space and calm. Enjoy it while you can, because the appetite for fast food in Telford is insatiable.
