Railway station floods again

It’s been a turbulent time for rail transport in Telford. This photo shows the state of Wellington railway station this evening following the incessant rain we have had this month.

It comes the day before the line is reopened following the landslip at Wombridge, that closed the service beyond Telford Central for a couple of weeks.

Even the rail replacement bus service crashed into a railway bridge.

Lets hope that tomorrow is the start of a long run of incident-free train travel.
