No tax, No MOT, No Car

Police have removed a Nissan Micra from the street in Hollinswood today after following up reports than an untaxed car was being used regularly.

PC Rob Hughes said “Having a valid MOT certificate for your vehicle is a requirement for most car insurance policies. This means that if you do not have a valid MOT, your insurance policy is void.

“For those who work hard to keep their car on the road it is important we deal with those that do not have TAX and MOT. An MOT will pick up faults, some of which can be dangerous, this car has previous failures for faults that could cause the car to be unsafe. therefore seizing the car makes the roads that little bit more safer. “

The vehicle was seized using DVLA powers.
