Coach fire on M54

A coach caught fire on the M54 near Wellington in Telford this afternoon, closing the Eastbound carriageway completely.

The coach was well alight as drivers went past before emergency services arrived to put the fire out.

Thankfully eyewitnesses report that there were no passengers on board the coach with was completely destroyed by the blaze.

Appliances from Shropshire Fire and Rescue had to drive to a nearby housing estate to fill up with water while tackling the fire that send a plume of black smoke visible for miles around.
