Telford Cineworld escapes the axe – for now

Troubled cinema chain Cineworld have announced a number of sites that will close shortly, but the Telford operation at Southwater is not among them.

One of the anchor occupiers of Southwater, when it was opened 10 years ago, Cineworld has been struggling with debt, and is undergoing a restructure.

While the news is welcome for staff and customers, Sky News are reporting that a further 19 sites could be under threat during the restructuring.
