Parking camera snapped

The pole that the ANPR camera controlling the B&M car park in Wellington is mounted on has been toppled.

The damage to the pole in Market Street, Wellington was spotted this morning and made safe later in the day. The marks on the pole suggest that it was cut and not hit by a vehicle.

After B&M announced the take over of the Wilko store, repairs were made to the car park surface and markings. Tighter time limits and restrictions on out of hours parking were introduced when the car park reopened.

Local traders were campaigning to ease the restrictions, but no changes have been announced as yet.
