Wetter than an otters pocket

It’s been a wet weekend in Telford, with so much surface water causing travel problems for motorists due to floods and accidents.

Chris Williams took this video showing the flooded road on St Georges Road from the traffic lights by Asda on Saturday afternoon.

Chris told Telford Live! “It was deep enough for the first couple of cars to turn around and go back.”

A house in Birchmore on Brookside also had its electric knocked out by a lightning strike during thunderstorms yesterday afternoon.
