Former Telford boxer sentenced
A former boxer from Telford has been jailed for six years and three months, after being convicted of a string of sex offences against young girls.
Dillon Robb, aged 29, of HMP Hewell was convicted of four counts of engaging in penetrative sexual activity with a girl aged between 13 and 15 and two counts of engaging in sexual communications with a child.
He was sentenced at Shrewsbury Crown Court on Friday. Robb was also given an indefinite sexual harm prevention order and has been placed on the sex offenders register for life.
The offences took place in Telford between August and September 2023.Detective Sergeant Benjamin Poppleton said “I would like to recognise the bravery of the victim in coming forward and helping to secure this sentence. I hope today’s sentence brings some justice.We will continue to crackdown on predators like Robb, and ensure their offending is punished.
“I hope this case demonstrates to the community of Shropshire that West Mercia Police take reports of sexual offences seriously, and won’t hesitate to investigate thoroughly and robustly to bring offenders to justice.”
