Smile if you live in Telford
According to the 35,000 people interviewed by Rightmove, Telford is a very respectable 6th happiest place to live in the West Midlands.
I’m always sceptical about these public votes, you may recall the Telford Live poll which, according to those that took part, voted Telford as the best seaside town.
That said, it is easy to see why you feel great about our town. Low house prices, low council tax, an abundance of jobs and loads to do, right on our doorstep.
Balloon festivals, museums and the Pickerings Christmas lights. Ice rink, Christmas market and spiders web. Town park, frog clock and Donny Bonny. There really is no end to our ends attractions.
Those who view the world with a cup half full, rather than half empty attitude, would even celebrate the hit & miss train service as keeping many out of towners away from our facilities.
If being 6th is the cake, then the cherry has to be Shrewsbury coming 9th, and a full 30 places below in the national table.

You want to try living in Wellington it’s a very unsafe town gangs going around intimidating people throwing stuff over people. The town is supposed to be pedestrian free and people racing through the main street on bikes and e scooters it certainly doesn’t make me smile.
I travel very often to Wellington. I never had such an experience for me it’s a beautiful place nice people . Many good things are there
