Four arrested following Telford drug warrants
Four people have been arrested after officers carried out two warrants at addresses in Telford, which are believed to be linked to drugs supply.
The first warrant was carried out at an address in Brackenfield in Brookside on Tuesday this week, where class A and class B drugs were found at the property along with a small amount of cash
Two men, aged 22 and 27, were located at the address and arrested on suspicion of possession of class A drugs with intent to supply.
The second warrant was executed yesterday at an address on Blakemore in Brookside, where class B drugs were discovered.
A man, aged 35 and a woman, aged 33, who were at the address were arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of controlled drugs.
All four people who were arrested have since been released under investigation as enquiries continue.
Sergeant Ian Cole, from Brookside Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: “We have successfully carried out two warrants at addresses in Brookside over the past two days, where we arrested four people suspected of being linked to drug dealing in the town.
“Drug dealers prey on some of the most vulnerable people in society and their presence in turn causes more crime such as shoplifting, burglary and anti-social behaviour.”
The warrants were carried out by Brookside Safer Neighbourhood Team, with the assistance of South Safer Neighbourhood Team, Task Force, Proactive CID, dog handlers and the Child Exploitation Team.
