Car crashes into property

A dark VW Polo crashed into the side of Louise Sumnalls house in Dawley at around 7.50pm last night.

The car careered through the garden fence and came to rest against the wall of the property on the corner of New Road and Webb Crescent.

Shropshire Fire and Rescue attended to make the car safe.

Louise said “The driver was under the influence as they was a pungent smell of weed. They did a runner.

“The cars a wreck and so is our boundary.

“If you know anything about this incident please report it to the police. Has your relative come home injured this evening?”
