Avoid the car tax trap by acting now
Vehicle Excise Duty (VED) is due for a hike from 1st April, but a tip from Cllr Jay Gough could help you avoid the new rates.
With Electric Vehicles and very low tax vehicles this tax hack could save Telford families hundreds of pounds, but you will need to act fast.
Even though your tax may not be due right now, by taxing your vehicle early, you can get the tax at the current rates.
Cllr Gough told Telford Live “I drive an EV so it’s saved me £195 as mine is currently free. I think it also applies to super low tax cars who pay like £20 a year etc…
“It’s a good opportunity to help people save some money if they renew before April 1st.”
If your tax is not due and you have not yet had a reminder, you can use the code on your V5.

Cllr Gough says “You select no about receiving a reminder, then select “I have my v5″, then enter v5 number and reg and it takes you through the rest of it.”
