M54 Closures this week

National Highways have said that the M54 roadworks will affect Eastbound traffic heading towards Wolverhampton from Junction 4 (Telford Services) to Junction 2 (Coven) on Thursday overnight and all this weekend. This was updated on Thursday.

The project, to carry out surface repairs, is now beyond the halfway point with disruption scheduled until 21st of April.

Some motorists have spotter there is not a lot actually going on as they travel towards Telford on the M54 but National Highways say “Our full weekend closures will enable us to carry out our work safely and allow the concrete to set to the required strength.”

Closure details:

Thursday 27 March from 8pm to 6am

Friday 28 March at 8pm to 6am Monday 31 March

Diversions are in place and signposted from the closure points.
