Residents help to identify biker

Telford & Wrekin Police took to social media to thank the members of public who came forward following their appeal and identified the rider of the off road bike. The bike was captured on dash-cam riding dangerously and illegally in Oakengates.

Police said “We are pleased to advise that as a result the rider has now been issued with a section 59.”

Section 59 of the Police Reform Act 2002 empowers police constables to stop, seize, and remove vehicles used in a manner that causes alarm, distress, or annoyance, or contravenes the Road Traffic Act 1988.
