Sip and Strum with the WI

Eyton and Wellington Womens Institute is inviting local residents to join them on a pub crawl in Wellington.

The Women’s Institute’s Ukulele Band will be raising funds for charity with a “Sip & Strum” at three local pubs around the town.

The band will play at The Pheasant in Market Street, Wellington on Wednesday 26 March at 6.00 pm followed by The Wrekin Inn in Wrekin Road at 6.40 pm and at The Wickets in Holyhead Road at 7.20 pm.

After playing a few tunes at each pub there will be a charity collection with all proceeds going to Severn Hospice.

A spokesperson for the Ukulele Band said, “We wanted a fun way to raise money for our local hospice so decided to play a few songs around the Town. Thanks to the local publicans, people can enjoy a drink as well as listen to some live music. It should be an enjoyable evening for all”
