Police appeal for help following reported robbery
Officers investigating an attempted robbery in Telford have released a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to who may be able to help with enquiries.
The incident happened on Monday 24 March at around 7.40pm, where a man was attacked by another man on Teece Drive in Priorslee.
The victim was approached by a man as he left the Co-Op Store on Priorslee Avenue.
The suspect then attacked the man from behind claiming he was armed with a knife, before fleeing the scene empty handed.
Officers are keen to speak to the man in the CCTV image as they believe he can help them with their investigation as he was in the area around the time of the incident.
If you recognise the man in the image please get in touch with Detective Constable Julia Hiller by emailing julia.hiller@westmercia.police.uk quoting incident number 22/25719/25.
Alternatively, information can be shared anonymously with the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or by visiting: https://orlo.uk/qcs4P
The police acknowledged the quality of the picture: “Whilst we appreciate the CCTV image is not the best quality, we hope someone may recognise the man, who officers would like to speak in connection with the incident as he may have information that can help.”
