Telford man jailed for Dior fragrance theft and cabinet damage
A 41-year-old man of no fixed abode has been handed a prison sentence following a shoplifting incident in Telford.
Andrew McNab appeared before Telford Magistrates’ Court on 13 March 2026 to face charges of theft and criminal damage.
The court heard that on 7 March 2026, McNab targeted the Boots store in Telford. During the incident, he stole three Dior fragrances with a combined value of £256.00. In the process of committing the theft, he also caused significant damage to a Dior fragrance cabinet.
McNab pleaded guilty to both charges during his first hearing. Magistrates took the guilty plea into account but determined that the severity of the offences warranted an immediate custodial sentence.
For the theft of the fragrances, McNab was sentenced to four weeks in prison. No separate penalty was issued for the criminal damage to the cabinet.
