Telford man sentenced for string of thefts and drug offences
A 29-year-old man has appeared before Telford Magistrates’ Court to be sentenced for a series of crimes committed across the town, including burglary, possession of drugs, and multiple breaches of his bail conditions.
Konrad Kaminski, of no fixed abode in Sutton Hill, was dealt with by magistrates on 12 March 2026, following a crime spree that stretched back to August 2025. The court heard that Kaminski’s offending included a burglary at a property on Holyhead Road between 28 and 31 December 2025, where he stole two bedframes and a television valued at £1000.
Just days later, on 4 January 2026, he caused criminal damage to a door. The court also heard that on 30 December 2025, Kaminski was caught in possession of amphetamine and was found to be going equipped for theft with pliers and screwdrivers. On that same day, he stole light fittings from The Lighting Industry Association.
These offences followed an earlier incident in August 2025, where Kaminski was found in Telford carrying lock picks and pliers, alongside quantities of cannabis and amphetamine.
The court also detailed how Kaminski had repeatedly flouted the law while on bail. On 12 January 2026, he was arrested for breaking a daily 7pm to 7am curfew and failing to comply with electronic monitoring. He also breached conditions that strictly prohibited him from contacting specific individuals via social media or third parties, and an exclusion order that barred him from entering Holyhead Road in Ketley.
Magistrates took his guilty pleas into account when passing a community order which will run until March 2027. Under the terms of the order, Kaminski must undergo a six-month non-residential drug rehabilitation programme and participate in up to 15 days of rehabilitation activities.
The court ordered Kaminski to pay £400 in compensation for the burglary, noting that this payment would take priority over court costs. All drugs seized during his arrests, including cannabis and amphetamine, were ordered to be forfeited and destroyed.
