Telford Shopping Centre welcomes young entrepreneurs

Shropshire Young Enterprise Students will meet the Mayor of Telford at the next Trade Show in Telford Shopping Centre on Saturday, 29th February

Telford Shopping Centre will once again be supporting our Young Entrepreneurs by hosting two trade shows in Dean Square. The Mayor of Telford, Councillor Stephen Reynolds will be visiting the centre on 29th February to talk to the students about their business ideas and their hopes of winning one of the many awards to be presented at the Celebration event on 7th May at the Mercure Telford Centre Hotel.

Young Enterprise would like to thank the Mayor for taking the time to visit the trade fair and talk to the students. Thanks also to Telford Shopping Centre for providing the space for our young entrepreneurs to present their ideas to the public and the opportunity to talk to shoppers – thanks also to all the volunteers who make these events possible.

The Young Enterprise Company Programme supports teams of students in participating schools. Students have a limited amount of time to develop their commercial skills into viable businesses that are judged against national criteria. As well as attending trade fairs, producing business plans and providing financial information, each team has to attend a ‘Dragon’s Den’ style interview and deliver a four-minute presentation to judges, competing for local and national awards.

Come and meet Shropshire’s young entrepreneurs, see what Young Enterprise is up to this year and support our young people – trade stands will be open to the public between 9.00 am and 4.00 pm
