7 Day Opening for new Telford Post Office
As part of an investment programme taking place across the Post Office network, a brand new Post Office has opened today at the SPAR, Shawbirch.
The new branch offers customers a wide range of Post Office services, from posting letters and parcels to collecting and returning online shopping items. Customers can also take advantage of a wide range of banking services including cash withdrawals and balance enquiries for customers of all the main UK banks.
Post Office services are available seven days a week throughout the store’s opening hours: Monday – Sunday: 6am – 10pm.
This offers customers an impressive 112 hours of Post Office service a week, making it very convenient for customers to visit.
The SPAR store has been refurbished to incorporate a Post Office, Greggs counter, Costa Coffee Express and County Bridge fresh meat range.
The new branch aims to offer even more convenience to Post Office customers by extending the availability of Post Offices services in the area. The new branch joins Admaston and Brooklands branches in bringing vital services to the area.
Blakemore Retail Post Office Implementation Manager Stewert Waldron said: “There has been a major extension and refurbishment of the store to add new products and services, including Greggs. As a community retailer we are delighted to offer post office services in our convenience stores; local residents can access a wide range of Post Office services during our shop opening hours – 112 hours a week.”

Post Office services are offered from a low-screened, open-plan Post Office counter that is integrated into the retail counter, enabling customers to carry out a wide range of Post Office transactions alongside retail purchases. This has also been adapted for COVID 19 to protect customers.
