New Summer food festival announced

Wellington Cricket Club have announced a new festival for the events calendar in Telford.

Wrekin Eatin’ Festival promises Street Food, Entertainment and Family Fun in the shadow of the famous hill to the west of the town. No stranger to huge events, Wellington Cricket Club host a huge bonfire and firework event each November which attracts thousands of visitors.

An announcement reads “We can’t wait to open our gates for this celebration of local food and entertainment in a relaxed family-friendly atmosphere.

“We’ll have loads more details on this event soon, such as the streetfood traders who will be coming along, plus the entertainment and games we’ll have for the family.

“Wellington has needed an event like this for some time and can’t wait to welcome you along. See you in July!”

The club is looking to attract food vendors, sponsors and help to deliver the event, with more detail on their website.
