Gold at Alpine Cup Warhammer 40k Team Tournament
Mani Cheema from Telford, as part of Team England, emerged victorious at the Alpine Cup Warhammer 40k Team Tournament, held this past weekend in Leoben, Austria.
The team, representing England with pride, displayed excellent sportsmanship throughout the competition. Their focus went beyond winning, emphasising proper representation of their nation.
Teamwork proved to be the key to success, with the team members working together seamlessly. Their journey culminated in a thrilling final against Team Switzerland, where they secured a hard-fought victory and claimed the coveted gold medal.
The Alpine Cup offered a well-organized and exciting atmosphere. The five rounds of competition saw Team England face off against some of the world’s best players, proving that competitive spirit can coexist with camaraderie.
Mani told Telford Live! “The event was incredibly well run and we had 5 amazing rounds of competition against 5 great teams of the best players from around the world, it just goes to show that even though we’re all there to win, we can have a great time while doing so.”
This sentiment is echoed at The Glasshouse in St Georges Telford, the team member’s local gaming store. The Glasshouse fosters a welcoming environment where players can strive for their best while enjoying the games and forging friendships. They extend an invitation to gamers in the Wolverhampton and Telford area to join them for friendly competition, laughter, and good company.
