Christmas Lights Switch On in Telford 2024

The Christmas Lights switch-on dates have been announced around Telford and The Wrekin.

These are for 2024 and in date order.

Newport

Friday 22nd November from 5pm – Switch on will be at 6pm

Live entertainment, Christmas parade, Santa and his reindeer, Living nativity, Carols in St. Nicholas Church, Craft market in the Newport Community Library, Refreshments in The Hub Newport, Fun Fair on Lower Bar, Late Night Shopping in the town.

Dawley

Saturday 23th November from 12noon -Switch on will be at 5pm

Festivities taking place in Dawley High Street, Dawley Christian Centre and Dawley Park.

Shifnal

Sat 23rd November from 1pm – Switch on will be at 6:45pm

Street market, live music, street food and bar.There will be visits from Father Christmas throughout the day.

Wellington

Sat 30th November from 12noon – Switch on will be at 5pm

Silly Santa Science Show at All Saints Church, Face painting, Glitter tattoos, Festive films at the Orbit and a variety of live entertainment in the square including performers and bands.

A Christmas themed Wellington late night market will also be on, with a DJ, bar and food.

Oakengates

Saturday 30 November 2024 from 2pm – Switch on will be at 6pm

Live music, festive fun, funfair rides, inflatables and the grand switch-on of the Christmas lights and more.
