25 years for Coxs’ Appel

A Wellington business with customers all over the world is celebrating its 25th anniversary.

Keith Cox has been running computer repair company Appel since 1999 and has built up a loyal base of personal and corporate clients, as well as many Wellington schools and colleges.

Based in Mansell Road, his firm specialises in the repair and upgrading of Apple computers, as well as remote support.

“I have been working with Apple products for around 40 years in total and my customers come from all over Shropshire, as well as from as far afield as France, America and Singapore.

“I guess they trust me to look after them as I have such in-depth knowledge and experience of the brand and keep up with the latest developments,” said Keith.

He said that he had seen Apple evolve over the decades and that the modern devices were ‘incredible’.

“Macs have always been easy to use, secure and reliable – most of my repair work comes about because people have dropped their computers, spilt their coffee on them or their dogs or babies have been to blame!” he added.

Sally Themans of Love Wellington congratulated Appel, saying that the firm’s success showed that with its great communication links the town was a great place to do business with customers from far and wide.

Although he has no plans to retire, Keith is now stepping back slightly from the business and intends to take a day off each week.

He has recruited 25-yar-old Jack Stanford, who has experience in software, to assist him and eventually take on a leading role in Appel.
