Paroled CSE criminal not released back to Telford
Cllr Lee Carter, Leader of Telford & Wrekin Council revealed at last nights council meeting that Mohammed Ali Sultan, who was released on parole this month, would not be allowed back into the West Mercia Police region.
The councils report on the second anniversary of the CSE report was accepted unanimously last night with total support from all members present.
One of the questions asked was from Cllr Bentley, that the survivors would have adequate protection and reassurance against reprisals.
Mohammed Ali Sultan was one of a number of men who were investigated as part of Operation Chalice in 2011.
Sultan was jailed for seven years in 2012 after pleading guilty to having sex with two teenage girls, one of whom was just 13 years old. His sentence was extended in 2015 and again in 2019 when he was found guilty of further sexual offences.
Cllr Carter addressed the point saying that part of the parole conditions were that he was not allowed back into the West Mercia Police area.
