Netflix release with Newport connection

A true crime film recently added to Netfilx is based on events that unfolded at Harper Adams.

Rogue Agent is the extraordinary and chilling story of career conman Robert Freegard who masqueraded as an MI5 agent and fooled people into going into hiding.

Plot elements were introduced for convenience, so its not exactly a true depiction of what happened but the 2022 film. Harper Adams (called Trent Hamilton Agricultural College for the movie) was supposedly pictured in the opening sequence, but Shropshire doesnt really feature much in the film at all.

If you are a fan of true crime, look out for Puppet Master on Netflix. A more accurate portrayal of the same events.
