Play explores dual heritage identity issues

When Misunderstood There’s Consequences – don’t say we didn’t warn you!

The play will be performed at All Saints Church in Wellington, Telford, on Fri, 16 May 2025, at 7 pm. An incredibly inspiring, heart-breaking, and most importantly, eye-opening story about a young dual heritage boy called Ben.

This play will shed light on his childhood and the challenges he faced, offering a unique perspective that will leave you with a new understanding.

This play is a poignant exploration of a young boy’s life, growing up in a destructive and abusive household, facing racial abuse, and struggling with mental health. It also addresses identity issues, a pressing concern in the African and African Caribbean and the dual heritage community.

By witnessing this journey through a play, you can gain a deeper understanding of how misunderstandings can lead to serious consequences, and how to prevent them.

Production in collaboration with the charity TAARC – Telford African and Afro Caribbean resource centre.
