Telford MP Shaun Davies hosted a busy drop-In event in Overdale
Shaun Davies, Member of Parliament for Telford, held his latest community event in Overdale last week.
The event, hosted at the Carpenter Centre, saw a great turnout giving Telford residents the opportunity to meet their MP in person, get advice, discuss issues or share ideas for the town directly with Shaun.
Shaun also brought together some fantastic local organisations, who were on hand to assistant residents and offer solutions, all in the same place.
Partners attending included Age UK, West Mercia Police, Lawley and Overdale Parish Council, Citizens Advice, Telford Job Box, Telford & Wrekin Council, the Department for Work and Pensions, Stay Telford, Housing Plus, and others.
Shaun Davies MP said: “Thank you to those who took the time to attend today, it was a brilliant turnout. These events are always so popular which shows just how important they are. Getting out and about in Telford is the best part of my job; meeting so many of you, and having that direct engagement, supports my work to stand up for Telford.
Having our fantastic local partners there also, is a great opportunity to offer as much support as possible in one place.”
Telford resident Jonathan Bradley who attended the event today said: “I wanted to drop in today thank you to Shaun for the support he has given me as a local veteran.
It turned out to be a really great session, while I was there, I also managed to speak with the team from Housing Plus. I’d recommend speaking to Shaun and going along to meet him if live in Telford and you’re looking for some support.”
Shaun hosts monthly events across Telford with the aim to make it as easy as possible for Telford constituents to receive support, either with a quick question or with more complex issues such as employment, housing, or finances.
