Aurora Borealis from Telford
No, it’s not Inuit for ‘Welcome’ or ‘Merry Christmas’ but a solar phenomenon that lights up the northern skies, usually over northern countries such as Iceland, and very occasionally the North of Scotland. Unusually, last night, the Aurora Borealis was visible from Telford and local resident, Jacob Wood captured the pictures on Cannon 600d camera from a bedroom window in Lawley Bank.
Jacob commented ‘I check the aurora website regularly and a mighty powerful K6 was forecast I had to stay up and see if Telford would be lucky enough to witness it’
