Lawley Racks up new Bike Shop

Experienced cycle shop owners Allen & Kate, are opening up a new branch of Plush Hill Cycles in Lawley Village, Telford in January 2016.

Plush Hill Cycles started trading in Church Stretton in 2010 with a focus on service. Allen & Kate place a great emphasis on community, taking a key role organising the Long Mynd Batch Burner, a charity mountain bike challenge event, plus local trail maintenance sessions during the Summer. Also in the pipeline are shop rides, junior guided rides and ladies breeze rides along with cycle maintenance classes.

Why Telford? Allen grew up South of the river in Broseley and spent many weekends mountain biking around Telford and Wrekin. Telford has always been a shopping destination but with one thing missing: a local cycle shop. They had been looking at Telford to open a shop for a while but the location has been a challenge, so they saw the Lawley Village development as the perfect opportunity.

Allen comments; “We are very pleased to announce the launch of a new Plush Hill Cycles bike shop opening in Lawley village, Telford. Running alongside Plush Hill Cycles Church Stretton our new shop in Lawley will provide the same customer focused, rider driven products and service. We are huge believers that to run a successful independent Cycle shop you need a vibrant and diverse cycle community to fit into. That in mind we felt obliged to bring a cycle shop to Lawley and Telford. One of the things we love about cycling is that it’s a great ice breaker and leveller; you get all sorts of people calling in the shop to talk bikes.”

Stocking rider focused brands such as Genesis, Ridegback, Saracen, Transition and Ridley plus the best cycle components and accessories in the world from Shimano, Continental, Garmin and Park Tool, the new store is due to open on Jan 16th 2016.
