A Telford resident who falsely claimed she was too ill to work has been ordered to pay more than £6,000 after Telford & Wrekin Council successfully prosecuted her for fraud.

A man has been arrested after an estimated £100,000 worth of class A drugs was discovered. 

The arrest was made yesterday morning (Thursday 4 December) by Telford Central SNT at an address on Jim Hicks Drive in Stirchley. 

Officers discovered a large quantity of class A, and class B drugs. It is estimated the class A drugs hold a street value of around £100,000.

West Mercia Police have isssued a statement following the incident in Donnington yesterday.

Armed police officers and an ambulance were called to The Clock Tower garage in Donnington earlier this afternoon following a serious incident. Seven police vehicles, including marked armed response units, attended the scene.
